A company later known as Singer was established by George Singer to make bicycles in 1875. Singer, riding on his classic motorbike became the first ever rider to cover over 60 miles in an hour. He was riding a 350 cc motorbike when he broke the one hour record. It became one of the most sought after bikes in the 1970s. The bikes were well known, not just for its sturdy frames but also for its tasteful lugs, handmade fittings and components. To own a Singer bike with its original fittings is considered to be a one in a million chance. Another striking feature is that these bikes can be fitted with any parts that fits logically and still work fine. Singer bikes are synonymous with a perfect craftsmanship, right use of technology, of independence and of high performance.
