Founded as -Società Giuseppe Bianchi- in 1904 Beta is an Italian company producing motorcycles mostly focused on trial and offroad bikes. Initially making bicycles the company switched over to producing motorcycles in 1948. With the focus on street bikes Beta began directing their efforts towards the offroad segment in the 1970s which resulted in several enduro and motocross models in the following years. In recent years they have been hugely succesful in the Enduro World Championships and taking the top spots in many competitions
